Generosity: Interactive SMS Projection exhibited by Visionary Images Melbourne 2008
Visionary Images:
Visionary Images artists collaborate with young people to create art works that explore and express ideas and experiences through exciting visual, design and media art.
In 2011 Visionary Images will be working on the Bass Coast with local young people aged 15 – 25 to develop and create public art. This project is called R3 and you can check out the project blog at
http://r3project.wordpress.com/
We expect that the project will run 2 days per week and it would be great if you could attend at least once a week.
It’s free and no experience is necessary!

Volunteer Opportunities
Visionary Images is seeking volunteers to work on Stage 1 of the R3 Bass Coast Project. The volunteers will collaborate with the Regional Artist, Media Artists, Visionary Images’ Artistic Director, YMCA staff, young people and partners to ensure the artistic and operational objectives of the project are realised.
It is expected that volunteers can work from 2 hours per week for up to 2 days per week for the project’s duration. They will need to be able to volunteer in Wonthaggi weekly.
Volunteers will be part of this exciting project that will engage artists, community members and young people who have experienced hardship working together to make unique, conceptual, public art using contemporary technology!
Volunteers will:
• Develop digital art making skills
• Gain experience in supporting young people
• Be part of exciting public art exhibitions
• Work along side professional artists
• And, most importantly, contribute to the positive life of the local community.
Positions available for volunteers include:
• Assisting young people with transport to and from the workshops
• Providing support for young people
• Helping with food preparation
• Contributing to a safe and inclusive studio environment
• Experience in writing funding submissions
• Using your skills to promote the R3 project through the local media
• Working creatively as part of a collaborative team.
